Craps Systems

Well, it´s the million dollar question isn´t it?
"Is there a system that I use in craps that will enable me to consistently beat the house"?

Well, there are plenty of craps systems out there that claim to do just that, so let´s have a look at the facts:

Craps is a form of gambling entertainment run by casinos who are operating as a business. They charge for their services, and this charge is the house edge, or house advantage. Sure, you can beat the house at craps, but in the long run, and averaged over a period of time and many players, if the casino looks at its books, it will have taken more money than it has paid out in winnings.

That´s not to say that casinos don´t get hurt by winners on individual days or even weeks. They do. But all we are saying is that if you average it out: they have an edge, those casino people.

Now...back to systems. Systems are a way of playing craps more methodically. People playing to a system will be more likely to be playing with their heads rather than their guts. And this is a good thing. If playing a system means that you have thought about when to quit the table (whether you are ahead, or down), then play systems! Just understand their limitations.

The house edge comes from the difference between the actual probability of an event happening and the pay out that the casino makes on that event.
